A dreamscape...The Faroe Islands

How can I describe my time if the Faroe Islands? One word...Amazing.

What an incredible place. It was more of dreamscape then an archipelago in the middle of the north atlantic ocean. The lush green mountains, the waterfalls, the majestic fjords, the rain, the wind and all the moods. Amazing. Every new turn of the winding roads. Every splash of light that found its way through the swift clouds...gave me a childlike wonder. At times, I was laughing out loud to myself. I was blown away by the unbelievable landscapes.

I made friends with some people and of course some ducks and sheep. The people I met, either Faroese or from other lands were so kind. I would be as well if I wandered there all the time.

Some views took my breath away. Some brought me to tears. Most made me feel small...which is my favorite feeling. There's a powerful, surreal, vastness there. It's hard to explain in words. But you can feel it.

If you just take a few moments, forget about the perfect composition, the perfect light, the perfect exposure, let you mind be still and take a deep breath...

...you will feel why the Faroe Islands are so special.
